Please note that this piano is currently in its original, un-restored (unplayable) condition, and will not be sold as-is. Restoration work will be performed under contract by Erwin's Piano Restoration (see details below). A new mahogany Steinway model M retails for $70,000 and a full restoration of a vintage Steinway, performed by the factory restoration center, typically costs 85% of a comparable new model. • Canadian Sitka Spruce soundboard panel, with rib-crowned, variable radius design. Crafted in-house by Erwin's Piano Restoration.

• Soundboard finish is a shellac sealer with lacquer in a satin sheen.

• New tight-grain maple bridge caps, in natural finish, coated with epoxy and gloss lacquer.

• Refinished plate in acrylic lacquer, with string and serial numbers, and hand-lettered embossing.

• Capo d'Astro bar redressed and shaped.

• New agraffes.

• Custom hybrid quarter-sawn maple pinblock, with 6mm Delignit multi-laminate cap.

• Custom Arledge bass strings, Mapes Gold treble wire, and Diamond tuning pins.

• Plate set with Wessell, Nickel & Gross plate suspension system.

• Treble tone bar/belly brace.

 

• All new action parts: Hammer-shanks, repetitions, back checks.
